DirtWheels Shootout - Z400 vs Raptor
#41
Ok, not exactly 50(I said close to). How bout 42-48 hp which is still a significant jump from the stock 37(aproximate). What I ws getting at was that the Z is fast for a 400 but not alot of room for improved hp without a big bore kit where with a Rap you can gain alot of extra power just from a few simple mods. Just depends on what ya want out of it

This has gone on way toooooooo long. The topic was Z and Raptor until Dales chimed in. Different quads!!!, different topic!!!. I like my Z, you like your Dale, the Raptor dudes like their Yammys. My choice was the Z. I'm sure if I had bought a Dale I would have liked it as well. America the Free, freedom of choice. Enough said, at least quad people are not a dying breed. We appear to be loud and strong ~~~~ let freedom ring!!!! LOA
Over and out, of yeah - peace out!

<< Okay, then what about the Z400/Cannondale comparison in last month's issue? >>
LOL! It was a Raptor guy that brought up the Dale shootout....
Anyway, I could get along with Satan if he rode a quad. (I think he just bought a Z) Bottom line is, Dirt Wheels is going ALITTLE overboard with the whole "benchmark" thing. And it pisses me off. People read this stuff! They look to Dirtwheels to point them in the right direction when purchasing a quad. And they have to just overexaggerate the rating of the Z alittle bit. I'm not saying it's not a good budget quad, it's just not for me.
And half of our time(us Dale owners) is spent defending our quad.
So there ya have it in a nutshell.....happy trails to you, Happy trails to you......and keep her rubber side down.
