howdy fella's, I've got a 87 quadsport, it's making a funny clicking noise kinda like the chains binding or sticking but I don't think that's what it is, it only happens when your giving it gas and seems to stop after you run it awhile. This may be a silly question but there is a (what looks like a filler cap 17 MM) on the left side of the bike above the shifter, what is it? the damn ol thing seems to be hard to shift and i wonder if the problems are related.

 

Well i dont really kno waht it is but maybe it could except maybe the axle movin a little bit or the engine chattering but when the egnine chatters its not loud enought o hear when your riding so i really dunno
