All the websites say 10" but that can't be from where the axle is. Can anybody tell me what the lowest point of Clearance on the Z is?

hmmmmm, Kinda Low, does anybody have any trouble going through mud or rocky areas due to the lowish clearance?

Yes the ground clearance is not that impressive, but with the Pro Armor Skids I just slide right over everything.

Actually I think I may put on a set of 22" rear tires, and this will help alot

email if anyone is interested in PRO ARMOR Skids I am a dealer, and can save you some cash

Just put on a good swingarm skid like the PRM and it slides right over the rocks with ease. As far as mud goes, my old Lakota was about an inch higher and had mud tires but the Z has so much more power that it gets thru the mud just as easily.

If you don't wanna lose any clearance when adding an aftermarket skid, go with PRM over the PRO Armor. I have the PRO Armor, and my girlfriend has the PRM on her Z and the PRM has a valley between the disk and rotor, whereas the PRO Armor is flat accross. Both are very nice and stout pieces though.

How is it not going to lose ground clearance. Even though the PRM has a valley in between, it still comes down just as far. Ground clearance is measured at the lowest point.

WP, having that valley in the middle on the PRM helps alot when ur riding thru thick mud. Less Surface Area = Less Resistance. Also, the flat single surface like the Pro armor tends to float the quad on mud rather than let it dig for traction. On the other hand, I think that the Pro Armor would slide over the rocks better, but at the same time u definitly are going to hit more of them.
