I could not find the exhaust restrictor, I think the dealer may have mentioned something about taking it off already. It is new, purchased a couple of months ago.
I found the intake restriction. It was bad. I just drilled it with a drill, since I had no access to heat at the time. I smoothed the rough spots with a file and put it back.
The muffler had a restrictor on the end, which I removed. I could just cut the muffler, drill hole in the baffles, and reweld it if I thought it needed it.
The head looks like it would be a 5 minute job to remove it. I could easily take it to the machine shop to raise the compression to 8 or so.
I sorta wish it was an LT80, but a few simple tricks to raise the power will certainly be a good thing for the kids.
