400z vs quadzilla
#11
<<
<< Correct me if im wrong but when get on a 500 doesnt it just spin whereas a z hooks up a little better. now going off that i will say my z will pull just as hard. if you put the two on asphalt where traction is at its highest the 500 will kill it. if you put the two on ice (no studs in the tires) where traction is at its lowest the z will win. the 500 hits hard but losses traction, the z rolls into the power keeping traction. >>
Ok - your wrong - the only time, place, or direction the Z400 has a chance is in reverse! I am not knocking the Z, it's just not a Zilla replacement no matter how bad the new owners of the fine Z400 want it to be. >>
I didnt say it was a replacement for a zilla, and i guess it was wrong of me to compare the power of a two stroke to a four stroke no matter how similar or different they are, that was just my observation when i rode his quad.

Okay guy's, stop comparing apples to oranges!
Absolutely, positively under no certain circumstances should the mighty LT500 EVER be compared to the four strokers of today, or tomorrow for that matter! Not until the time comes that they can actually compete! (Right next to NEVER!)
And we all know (Putting our wildest wet fantasies/dreams aside) that the manufacturers will never produce a machine with that much power ever again... They are too scared/chicken S@*t! The lawsuit happy attorneys will make sure of that!
Sure, let's start the argument of "well, if I mod this, and tinker with that it will be faster than a....."
Okay, get out your welder and graft a solid fuel rocket booster to the rear subframe of your Z400 (Right above that crappy chain adjuster that Suzuki forgot didn't work worth a damn on the LT500 15 years ago!)
and it just MIGHT be faster than a 15 y/o junker!
While I'm ranting.... Attention Manufacturers: do you hear what's going on here??? Folks are still comparing your new 'efforts' (Weak as they may be) to the all mighty 15 year old antique! AND IT STILL DOESN'T STACK UP!
HELLO!?!?! McFLY!! GIVE US WHAT WE REALLY WANT!!!
don't get me started!

ive seen the ds outgun the zilla many times... do you ever ride at little sahara in okla? if so when are you going? ill bring a friend with 2 ds's one almost stock. and 1 modded, im willing to bet on it, unless the zilla is full drag with a ext. swingarm and alky, it wont have a chance... nuff said on that..

I hate to check in on such a silly post but here I go. Why would you have to wait for a Zilla to hookup before it blows these other machines away? If you have raced a little while you know how to use your clutch and don't spin the wheels, you will beat any machine from start to finish. If you just dump the clutch and hammer the trottle you will spin till your blue in the face but who is that dumb?

A Z-400 can be beatin by a polaris 700twin sportsmen. There is no way in hell it will have with a Zilla period.
Now dont kid yourselfs Zillas do have the highest top end and are unbelivably fast at getting there, but with a good launch a DS650 baja could beat it in a drag but never in top end.
My zilla was never running right but i have since sold it to a neighour who has fixed it up. My DS and it make for a good race. My raptor is an emmbarrisment against it.
But let me be the first to say that i dont like suzuki atvs, or suzuki motors. But The Zilla is the KING.
THE END.
