I owned a 95 King Quad for 3 years. Then traded in on the 98 Quadrunner 500. Cant say I miss anything on the king!! At first I thought I would miss not being able to run in 2 wheel drive. But I havent missed it at all ! The 500 is great!! The king quad did everything I wanted it to do pretty much, but I wouldnt go back to a king quad again after riding the 500. And now with the 27" Titan 589 tires on the 500 I have better ground clearance and ALOT more traction. The 500 has power to spare even with the bigger tires. You wont go wrong with either the king or the 500!! But I would go with the 500.

I ride a King Quad and it's a great slow trail bike. However, if you must have bigger tires than there is no decision to make. A KQ with stock tire size is a slow ATV that gets its power from a great tranny. A KQ with oversize tires is a slug. I'd guess that you'd never see above 3rd gear in high range, even on a level road. If you want the big tires, go for the 500.

I faced a similar dilema last week - - the kq or the 500. I decided on the 500. Bought it over the fax yesterday, will pick it up next Friday. The king is great, just a bit slow for what I wanted. Hows the reliability factor between the two? Anyone have an idea?

I have had my 98 500 for almost 2 years now and yet to have a problem. Also owned my 95 king for 3 years and never had a problem. Knock on wood!

Dude!
tyhe quad master!
has tranny!
and even has a air flow system to keep the water out if it happens to get in!
it would be the best chose for a water tranny 4wheeler!

the 5oo quadrunner is useed by alot of my friens here though the 300 just has lost its touch and isn't powerful enough for but mud tires@!

need more info from me i know it all email me at whinyryny@yahoo.com
