my pipe leaks!!!!!!!!!

i recently bought myself a 1992 lt250r and it has been great. THe one problem is that i have a dg pipe on it and where it hooks on to the header block it leaks!!! what can i do so it doesn't do this???

I have had this problem on my 86Quadracer. What I did was seal it with High-temp silicone. Works pretty well. OR you could try that exhaust sealant tape. I have never tried it but I have heard good stuff about it.

Thats my 2 cents worth

thanks i really needed some of that stuff because the excess oil that doesn't get burnt it a pain in the neck.

i have a 99 blaster and my pipe leaks when you reve it high. My mechanic said it is no problem the pipe is just held on by 2 screws.

well this is the pipe for a quadracer and it is only held on by like a sprind to the header block

enginman, i recently bought an 86' pure stock for a good price and it too has that same problem. if u find a fix let me know thanx. btw.. anyone know aprox $ to crome the frame?

tomarrow i will go and get some exaust tape and some high temp-silicon gasket maker in town i will let you knoe what happens on the weekend

The Exhaust tape works great. I had to use it on my Kawasaki KDX 200. It should fix your problem. Let me know how it comes out.
