lt500r power

Compared to other 2-strokes (Banshee, 250r) the 500 might feel like it does not scream on the top end like the afor mentioned bikes. However, if someone hogged out your cylinder without knowing what they were doing then it could most certianly mess up how it is suppose to run on the big end, Ill post those HP figures for you as soon as I get them.

At Mose Lake, WA last weekend I watched a new RM 85 stay with a piped and jetted Raptor in a drag race out in the Pothole flats, so becareful when racing 2 wheel bikes, there hp to weigth ratio is awsome. And who wants to lose to a 12 year old kid! That is why I ride a LT 500

In a sand drag my LT 500 has beat a KX500. The KX is catchng me up to me at the end because of the better start you get with a quad then a 2 wheeler. It all matters who and what type of traction you get at the start. I have been beat by a hoped up Honda 250r quad because he is a better starter then me. The LT500 was catching him at the end but he still won. The power to wieght is what is standard in all bikes. The LT 500 weighs around 400 lbs + rider(I wiegh 300) = 700 lbs. My hp is 62.5, so 700lbs /62.5 hp= 11.2lbs to 1 hp. Which is pretty good.It would be better if I didn't like beer so much!
