Hey KNOWSALOT--LTZ250 release date??

The z-250 at the dealer show was "cobbed together", welds were sloppy, the bodywork was all fiberglass. At one point I was sitting on it and bouncing up and down. A tech guy came over and told me to take it easy, that it was just a prototype. They said it had a different frame than the Ozark, it certainly was not any kind of production frame, I was really surprised how crappy the welds were, I would expect a prototype to have pretty good welds. They must have been in a big hurry to get this thing ready for the show.
......So how long will it take to get the Z-250 into production? I would be very surprised if they could do it in less than 6 months, I would think maybe by next summer.

Well, if they are going to use a different frame than the Ozark, they might as well put some sportier suspension on the thing. Looking at the front end pictures of the Z250 reminded me alot of the Quadsports of old. Hopefully that was a very rough prototype, and Suzuki is really planning on grafting a Z400-type front end to the new mini-Z.

I thought the A-arms were too short, with way to much frame separating them. Longer A-arms with less frame between them (think Raptor) would mean less bump steer and longer travel.

Bobcatv8 I found another article. This one states an April 2003 release.
