TRX250R VS LT250R
#3
Personally I would give the overall nod to the trx250r if you are going to get serious. If you just want a bike to play with and and fun, the LT is the cheaper way to get in the door. I have seen good runners from 1500, but he TRX start out around 2400. The part availability is more for the Honda, so it comes down to what you like the most. I love my 500, but anyone will tell you that the 250 won't hang part for part with it.

Hey I love my Suzukis and would go with the Quadracer or a Zilla.I have both and love em,if you want some serious throw down quad,go with the zilla ,just a little heavier and wider. If you want a light throw around snappy
*** quad,go with the racer, you could always modify for more power if thats what you want.Heard the Hondas were good race quads in MX but all used ive seen are priced about $1000 more than Quadracers and you still got a Honda?!?!?!?!

Both were great but history answered this question. How many LT250R's do you see still racing? I liked the feel of the suz more than the Honda but the honda handled better and was faster stock though not by much. But when race time came look who won, with the exception of Gary Denton who swapped to the Honda when he was no longer paid to ride the suz every body rode red if they wanted to win.

I was looking for a re-print of the origanal test between the 250R Tecate 4 and LT, I think it was in dirt wheels. Basicaly the Kaw was fastest the SUZ was slowest the Honda had a very electric feel with no noticable hit.
The conclusion was to put the KAW motor in a honda frame and add SUZ ergonomics.
I would agree the LT250R was the best fitting quad I ever rode bit the bump steer was second only to a banshee, the KAW was way fast but tipy and unreliable stock.
I ended up on a Honda b/c of cheeper parts although I was never a big Honda guy.

I know the Kaw had a light switch motor so you may be correct but I do know they called it the fastest, I do not remember about the LT on top I know they said it was slower on bottom which made it a perfect woods quad.
It has been to many years since I rode them and then they were not stock. I know when I had a LT250R my brother had the 250R at the same time and it was down to the hole shot as to who won. The LT would beat you to death w/ bump steer though. I sold the LT for a KAW and could get the holeshot everytime, I could beat him if the track was tight other wise he could catch me in the corners and well if I made a mistake he could go by. The Honda would just hook up and you could carry more speed through the turns. Now if they had had a-arms back then the story would have been different.
