Default Ozark 250 engine help

Does anyone know what engine the Ozark has in regards to camshaft and internal mods? Is it the same as the old LT250 Quadsport motor. I think it was originally based on a bike engine. My son has been racing my Wife's Ozark in ATV rodeo's and drags in the Utility class and until just recently has been doing real well but a modded Wolvorine has showed up and is beating him by a few feet so it's time to change some things for next season. I'm hoping I can send my stock pipe to a pipe builder and have them make me a pipe for the thing and I'm going to mod the airbox and rejet but I'm really wanting to do some internal mods like having the head ported, installing a Wiseco piston and a different camshaft. The 0-499cc Utility Class works out great when getting a youngster started in racing. He will be getting a used 400EX before too long for his trailrider but I'm going to leave him on the Ozark for racing. It costs way too much money to compete in the high performance classes.
