Default WARNING!! My HORRIBLE Experience with RECREATIONUNLIMITED.COM

I've been out for awhile! I'm sorry to hear about your experiences with your local dealers. The ones in my area are exactly the same way! Our shop does not deal new ATV's or motorcycles, however we specialize in the aftermarket for Quads and dirt bikes, and do everything "recreationunlimited" does and more! Yes, our prices are competitive. Yes, our service is far better than average! When it comes down to it, me and another guy work our A$$es off to make ends meet! I guess I want to clarify that we don't jack prices through the roof and make you, the customer, wait a rediculous amount of time for your parts. When I refer to MR LOCAL SHOP I refer to a good one that understands this sport and the needs of its customers! I don't blame anybody for staying away from a dealership that is only interested in moving factory parts and charging a horrendous labor rate for keeping your bike six weeks to change the clutch!(just an example). We sell high end aftermarket stuff to racers and serious rec. riders. "The fine stuff" I am not using our name in respect to the rules of this forum. This is for bench racing and tech discussion! Go out and have some fun!

Default WARNING!! My HORRIBLE Experience with RECREATIONUNLIMITED.COM

I called East Coast ATV looking for something the other day. They did not have.

I asked them if they had a rappy web cam. Yes 220 plus exchange. WTF the web list price is 165!!!!

Call and check piston prices-JE piston form JE . List price 155 dollars Call trinity, lrd,ct,alba and powroll. 200 or better for the same exact deal. No secrets there.

Is that price gouging??????????????????????????????????????

I have several local dealers around me and out of 6 2 or 3 will give you a decent price and only 1 or 2 are extremely educated about aftermarket prices and trying to be competitive.

I would rather deal with a local dealere where I can deal with someone face to face but it isn't always an option. I'm not going to overpay for this experience my money is to tough to come by.

I think it is safe to say that we all should stay away from Recreationunlimited.com but I think it is also safe to say that most .com's are legitimate and use the internet as a way to gain business since if your not on it selling then you probably are losing out.

Mr. local shop, maybe if you would use the internet you would not have to rely so heavily on customers that live in your area and you could service more customers too. Call me a business man but doesnt this make good sense...I guess some of us are not born with common sense

well i did a little investigating and you will all be glad to know taht www.recreationunlimted.com is registered with teh Better business bureau. however it look as though no one with a bad experience has filed a complaint..... FOLKS, THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE YOURSELF BE HEARD!!!. in retail, the customer is the lifeblood of the company. rec.unlimited needs a little lesson in this. for those of you who have had problems with them file a complaint:
