I had the same issue with recreation unlimted. They are shipping the old style hoods (flat finish) with the new (shinny finish) hood caps. The guy there at first acted like he didn't know what I meant, and then told me the same thing that I could send it back for a free exchange. I ended up keeping mine because the hood was yellow and the cap was black so it didn't look to bad. Glad I didn't send it back and have to deal with the same trouble you had. But come on, they can't think we want two different finishes on our beloved Quads. Maybe tell us when we order, or lable the products with dull and shiny finish on there web site like all the good mail order companies do.
Don't worry I won't be ordering from there again. At least you where able to cost him a few customers!!!! Sorry to hear about your problems. I feel your pain.

After three months I never heard back from Discover Card. So I guess they settled the dispute. I know I will never order from Recreation Unlmimited again, that's for sure!!

NOW I SEE THIS THREAD!
This mourning I ordered a WB R-4 system from Rec-unlimited and a set of nerf bares for my brothers Z-400. They had a good price, and I paid for a 3 day shipping. They said it will be here by Wed of next week. Hopefully I won't go through what everyone else has gone through.

I must be one the the fortunet ones. I ordered a full WB R-4 exhaust system, and a set of nerf bars from them. They said I should have everything by Wed. Well today is Wed., and everything is here. So for me, Rec Unlimited did good.

I doubt it. Although, if I follow their last words to me on the phone, which was something like "don't call here again!!" (really, that's what they told me and then hung up on me), I guess I'll never know.

i have been dealing with ..www.kandkatv.com for 5 years ..they are pretty good there..check them out...and they build some pretty awsome quads..

I started a shop two years ago for just aftermarket parts. My customers know than can bring in any add and I will meet it. Im almost allways cheaper than the mail order anyway. Rocky & Ronnies are easy to beat they hammer you on shipping. If a shop will not mach mail order they are not worth dealing with. I sell on Ebay and out the door and my sells keep growing almost faster than I can keep up with. Several of the other shops employes around here get parts from me for I sell to them cheaper than they can get from the shops they work for. (That is sad)
