It's coming and it's not that motor or manufacturer. It won't be from the big five. It will be a dune/desert racer. That's all I will say for now......I was at a local race and just happened to park next to the company w/ a prototype dirtbike. They were testing a perimeter frame. It only had a 250cc motor in it. I was aware of maybe something was coming and he confirmed it. That bike was the only brand of it's kind at the track that day.. I saw the motor. It is very small for it's cc size.. Testing is in the early stages, but I am told this is gonna rock the atv world.....Not an MXER.. Did I say not an MXER... I don't know how big Gas Gas is as a company, but I'd say this company is bigger then them.

the huge displacement motors dont have to rev very high because of the imense hp, just make the gears longer and you have a winning combination, plus, when they dont rev as high, there is less of a need to rebuild the upper end

What about KTM . These guys can't help but notice the sport quad segment heat up? Why not jump in, in a BIG way?

KTM could be a possility too. Not a major player n the industry, until their recent outbreak of their MX bikes. You would never see KTM's in my area until they got serious about competing. There are other's out there that could be getting into the market such as VOR. Maybe even Zabel if they have the chassis experience and the motors to ad to them already.

I was told Vor's will be built in the Suzuki factory in Georgia. Don't know if that will happen or not..

its not a ktm cuz the guy said its not one of the big 5. my guess is a husky. they were going to enter the atv scene ine the 80s with a race ready trike. possibly it could be husaberg too.

i can totaly see the use of a larger displacement such as 700 cc, IF it's direct injected.... b/c they don't rev as high as a smaller displacement 2-stroke engine.... and direct injection currently can only be used up to about 6K rpm. the biggest bonus to direct injection is emissions better than current 4- strokes with EFI.... and passing the 2006 EPA standards.
doesn't bombardier own rights to ficht direct injection?

big 5==== honda, yamaha, suzuki, kawasaki, & polaris.... right?
