Bombardier did buy out the OMC Corp and in turn gained the FICHT technology they used in their outboards. All of the Johnson and Evinrude outboards are built by Bombardier.

it's about time there's some talk about two strokes again. frankly, i'm already sick of the new four stroke revolution. they're good machines, but come on! two strokes are the weapon of choice... lighter weight and more hp.
i've held off buying another quad for this reason. hopefully things will change, hopefully soon!

You all are dreaming. They will never be a 2 stroke sport quad made again here in the US. EPA and government want let them. I herd at the last race I went to that you couldnt even buy a 2 stroke motocrosser without a AMA racing license in 2004. I would love to see it also but the banshee will be gone soon also.

I THINK I HAVE THE ANSWER! my guess is that its gonna be made by ATK. i found some info on their new bike thats coming out and its a 700cc 2 stroke. check out this: http://www.off-road.com/dirtbike/machines/2004/atk/700/ notice the discplacement and atk is a company most of have heard about...hmmm. i have my money on them realeading this quad.

I say the ATK is a good guess also the kick start is on the left side as is the motor pictured in the magazine but so is the zabel motor but I have to agree with the ATK guess. Later

It is a Maico motor. I think it is related or is the same as a Zabel. I don't follow those motors so am am not sure. The components on the dirtbike are top notch. Will it work well as a package?? Look for the ATK in the May issue of Dirtbike Magazine. I don't know if it's a test or just some basic info/review.. ATK has been dead for more then five years. Frank White sold the company to a a big corporate company that ran it into the ground. Much like AMF did w/ Harley in the 70's. The corp sold the company back to Frank about 18 months ago and he seems to be going in the right direction. For those of you w/ kids who ride 50cc mini mx bikes you need to see there little mxer. VERY VERY impressive to say the least.. www.atkusa.com The website hasn't worked for a few days..
