MRBONES, I think you bought the same silencer that I did for my wife's wheeler off of E-bay. Her 91 model has a DG pipe on it, and the DG silencer that it had on it looked like it had a stock pipe fitted to it and rubbed the frame in the exact location as yours. When I installed the Answer SA silencer, it fit perfectly with no problems. I can get you a picture if you would like. Bubba

I got the thing mounted. I had to remove 1/2" from the DG pipe to allow the silencer to clear the frame. Then I had to make 2 mounting brackets. This also allowed the muffler to clear the 6 pack rack so I could still put a cooler in there. Otherwise it would hit the muffler.

Take a look at the picture.

I can still put on the DG silencer if I want to since there was plenty of pipe length to work with. The answer silencer is a bit quieter, I haven't run it yet to know if there is any power loss. I doubt I'll notice a difference.
