just went out and got a 39 pwk about to put it on, and realized the makuni i thought was a 38 is a 44 wtf! well the intake is to big and so is the k&n. what to do??? as for the motor the cyl is cleaned up nice the piston's been ported the ex was raised 1mm and polished and i took .020 off the head and it's got a turner pipe keep the 44 or do ya think the 39 would be mo better? i mostly do cross country,trails and the dunes a couple times a year. ?????????????

I disagree! In the dunes you'll like the 44 better. Makes for a stronger upper-Mid and Top end!
The 39 will give you better throttle response, and better bottom end, but you'll lose a little on top...
For the Trail riding, use the 39... for the dunes and dragging... use the 44 (That's what I do!)

ok i'll let you know... got the 39 on, and it's ok i guess i'll know after i take it out.

I'm not trying to mess up a sale on a carb,but for better top end,torque,and ponie's go with a lectron 44mm gas carb,you can get one through Fast By Gast.com,I went with the 44 mikuni it worked ok,then I bought a 44 lectron and it was like night and day difference,I also drag race and for the money and performance go with lectron.FTZ racing sell's a 41mm smooth bore carb that is very good for all around playing,had one of those too.Oh yeah Racer's edge racing sell's lectron carb's also.......Zilla
