My fiance doesnt like belt drive and wants a 5spd. How does the 5spd compare to the normal vinson? Whats the top speed? Thanks!

I have a 5-speed , I went from a raptor to this bike because of the usefullness. I figured I
would be very dissappointed, but I got it to 63 on flat gravel/dirt road. Every thing is stock.
I think this will be a great bike. Set the throttle stop 1/2 way during breakin and when you
take it off , wow what an increase.

 

does it wheelie easily, how do you think it will do againt a Rincon, P650?

 

I have a 2003 vinson 5 spd. It will go 57 mph with me and my son can get it up to 62 mph. I have only had it for 3 weeks now, but I love it so far.

 

I doubt it will outrun a p650 or the rincon but it will stay close behind. I have
seen the 0-40 specs in a magazine review and they were almost even with the
sp700, I also had a sp700 for a short time, it was a lemon, and I feel that the vinson would
outrun it . like I said though mine was a lemon. I haven't tried to wheelie much yet
but I did lift the front in second gear. So far I am satisfied and this is coming from
a Raptor.

I just got a 5 speed vinson,and I love it so far!It will go 62-64 depending on how long and flat of a road.It gets up to 50 VERY quick compared to my old Sportsman 500.If you get on it pretty good it'll lift the wheels going to 2nd and 3rd(not very far off the ground in 3rd).Overall it is the sportiest utility I could find.I think it is the perfect quad for me.I hunt ,do a little pulling,some trail/mud riding,and my kids love to be pulled around on their sled when it snows.It probably isn't the best at anything,but nit does EVERYTHING very good,without having any belts to mess with.
