I have a crank seal leaking and plan to rebuild/modify. I really need more low end power for trails but once a year we vist the dunes for a week and I love to hillclimb, hence 2- stroke. Does any one know if a seal leak will affect low end? I guess that it would help, more air and all, but don't really know.

What the seal will effect is: air/fuel ratio. Sucking dirt in is another issue. Either way, running with a bad crank seal is NOT a good idea at all! It isn't like they are hard to replace.

I yanked the engine out , it is running a P4 pistion now and needs boared again, just debating on how far I am going to go. LRD has a lot of people running there stuff, wanting some good feed back from someone other than the gal that answers the phone. These bikes are second in line to the new ones. I want to be treated right, not 3 months of phone calls.
