Cracked plastic
#1
What can I use to "fix" the crack in my fender. It s not bad and does not go out the fenders edge, just want mainly to keep it from spreading.I went riding and had the throttle stick and I went into a ditch a little to fast ,my knee cap rammed the plastic.I guess it is time to lube the cables since it is pretty cold around here.Later

Well you can do the zip tie job. Thats common around here, but it won't let the crack spread. Just drill small holes on each side of the crack, and zip them with the same color as your plastic. Not the prettiest thing, but it works. Makes it look like it has stiches. But if anyone ask about it, just tell them it's a battle scar.

Another option to the zips that may leave a nicer finish is using fiberglass cloth and Goop. Just take off your fenders and scuff up the back a little so that the Goop sticks. Put down a layer of Goop and then lay a layer of fiberglass cloth and push it into the Goop. You can put a couple layers of fiberglass if you want it stronger. This goop is nice because it remains flexible and won't just crack off. Both Goop and fiberglass cloth can be bought at your local hardware store. I believe the fiberglass cloth is for repairing fiberglass boats. Goop use to be for repairing shoes, but they have come out with a number of new kinds, and I think one is for plastics. This method is nice because the repairs are all on the underside of the plastic. A few cool stickers to cover the cracks and your bike is a beautiful as before you let your brother in law ride it.....ouh wait that was me. Whack....thats me kicking myself in the ***. Hope this works for you.

WP...I don't think Fullbore makes plastic for the Suzuki Quadracer or Quadrunners. I only seem to find TRX250R, 400EX, 400Z, Raptor and Banshee products from Fullbore. Has anybody been succesful in putting on plstic from a TRX250R or 400EX on a LT250R?
