Can someone tell me what the gearing is on the z.

14 tooth front sproket 40 tooth rear sproket dont mind the spelling. that what comes stock

Default Z 400 GEARING

What is a good setting to have my Z geared at? I am going to pick it up tomorrow...i haven't really even found any good spots to buy aftermarket parts for it...any info would be a great help...all i know is from what reviews i've read the Z400 is for me :-)

I hear 13/41 is good for woods. I just ordered a 13 from Alba.

Try Ebay if you're looking for some aftermarket parts. You can find some good deals.

I was also told that if you drop a tooth in the rear end, go to a 39, you would do alright as well.

...i haven't really even found any good spots to buy aftermarket parts for it...any info would be a great help...
Pick up a copy of Dirt wheels (man! I hate supporting their magazine) if you cant find anything for the Z400 in there then your eyes are closed. Just do yourself a favor and don't read the articles...ignorance runs rampent.
