Changing Spark Plug on my Z-400
#2
I replaced mine but I already had all the plastic off (i flipped and had to realign the plastic!!!) then removed the gas tank, airbox and snorkel. It was easy but a real pain in the butt to connect the snorkel to the airbox. I don't know if there is enough clearance to replace the spark plug without removing all that stuff. Be sure to check the spark plug gap (my factory plug did not have the correct gap). You will need a ratchet with an extension.

There's plenty of room to check the sparkplug without removing anything.
Take the spark plug boot and pull it off and away from the spark plug. Move it off to the side as much as possible. Drop the spark plug removal tool into position and twist with your fingers until it's around the plug's "nut". Use the supplied combo wrench (the 17mm side IIRC) and loosen the spark plug until you can turn it by hand. Keep turning by hand and pull it up and out.
Tada!
