can you tell me how or can you just put the head off and then pull the cylender up. does the cylender come up or does it hit the frame.

I would think that it would fit through the upper frame rails. Go and measure it and tell us so we know.

You have to take the top of the head off where the camshaft lives pull cam out but keep the cam chain
up!!then you can remove the head it should come right off and out the side. Then you can push the piston to the bottom of the cylnder pull up on cilinder and keep pushing pison down.Should pop right off and come out the side of the bike.
all of these pieces are separet and should come apart individually.I recomand getting a manual for this job if you dont allready have one because if you put it back togeather wrong the piston will hit the valves and the you get to start all over again with some new parts.
!!!!!!!!!!!!I know Ive done it!!!!!!!!!!!

hope this helps at least a little.

i know this can be done also because we "me and my dad" just took my 230 quadsport apart not to long ago and we dropped the front of the motor down and just wiggled the head off. Putting it back on was the hard part for future reference.
