Default Shift Lever

Is it just me or does the distance between the peg and the shift seam a little to short on a z/kfx ? Maybe its just my bike and i need to lift the lever up 1 or 2 clicks.

What size foot do you have? Thats kinda important when your talking about shifting comfort.(I'm a size 8) You can always have it lengthened a bit. I did that on my Mojave and liked it much better. I think my Z's shifter is fine though. I have found if I move the shifter up a notch I end up lifting my whole foot to shift instead of just lifting my toes. Try it and see.

My shoe size is a 10 and a 1/2 which isnt that big. How do you get it lengthened? I can barely get my boot in there to shift it.

My foot is a 10 1/2 as well. What I found worked good is to get a thinner boot. Try that and see how that works.

How to lengthen: Cut it and weld a piece of metal in it. Have a welder do it, preferably someone that TIG welds. Check the ATVConnection home page, they have a article about it this month.
