Suzuki Pricing -- What to offer above dealer list?
I've been able to find out what the dealer's list price is on a specific Suzuki ATV that I want to purchase. The dealer's list price is $5300 and I'm trying to get an idea of what is a fair price above list to offer the dealer. I know in the car industry there's an accepted norm of $x profit dollars over list, I know volume in ATVs so the number isn't the same.
Any current or former dealer personnel have some advice on this issue?
Thanks................

There are other issues besides just dealer cost, like insurance, shipping, needing to make a profit to pay for all the other expenses in running a dealership. If the model you are looking at is a hot seller, a dealer is going to need to make a profit on it. If it has been sitting on his floor for six months he will be much more agreeable to getting rid of it without making anything off of it. After six months that quad or bike will start costing the dealer more money, so he will be very motivated to get rid of it asap.
