I powdercoat myself, and have to say a powdercoated frame looks just as good as any well painted frame, but just resists chips and chemicals much better than paint can. It would cost you between usually $150 to $200 to have a frame done, with normal colors, nothing fancy like translucents (two colors, usually a chrome and a color). I recommend it, but then again I make money at it, so I would lol. But really, it is a better option than paint.

My frame was done by a local guy that is CHEAP. He does it in his spare time. He has a contract to do all of the area mail boxes, he does all of Garrett Race Cars frames, all of the local atvs, sprints, etc. He operates out of a little shop (probably 30X30) and doesn't even have the room to sandblast indoors. His oven is 8X10X15 though so he can do almost anything. He is building another larger oven this winter.

Here is what I had done:
Frame, steering stem, A-arms, swingarm, spindles, 2 brake master and all 3 slave cylinders, front and rear hubs, rear bearing carrier, clutch cover, cylinders, head, throttle housing, foot pegs, and I am probably missing some things. The total bill was around $150 and that included setup, paint, painting, curing, sandblasting, taping and all other prep work. I know of guys out of state that have as much as $400 in this work.

You have a private message sent back to you Shak. I sent it a couple of days ago, not sure if you got it, so I left this.
