A 250 2stroke will smoke the 4strokes.

I don't know when these 4 stroke people are going to realize that they don't have a chance against two-strokes. Especially the zilla. Maybe a 700+ super moded 4-stroke will give it a run but they just can't compete. My lt-250 beats my friends LTZ-400 and his is jetted, piped etc. My LT is stock.

There is only one thing that the manufactors can do. Put the same 4stroke motors on the atvs as they are on the YZs and CRs.

 

Yes, but we Thumpers will have the last laugh when you smokers are outlawed. I am in no way against 2-smokes, but they really are nasty to the environment.

 

Thats why the MX 4 stroke bikes are twice the size of the 2 strokes they are alowed to race.
If both are fully modded, the 2 strokes have twice as many power stroked as the 4 strokes at the same RPM, and about twice the power as well.

 

You're right on.
4-strokes are 1/2 the motor so they need to be 2x as big and have 2x as many moving parts to compete.

 

Maybe the guy on the Predator thought that he was dealing with a LT250R. Until he got roosted, he then figured it out that he was racing the fastest production quad of all time.

 

Yeah the LT250R may have been a bit less intimidating, but I wonder if the Predator can beat even the 250. I have never raced one but if it is close to the same as a Z400 I think I could give the predator a run on my stock LT250. On my LT500 I'll give 'em 10 bike lengths to make it less of an embarassment.
