Default Z400/KFX Parking Break Problem!!!!!!

I have a Z400 and my friend has a KFX and neither of our parking breaks work. At first mine did not work and I thought mabye it was just mine but his has the same problem. You would put the parking break on and it would just keep rolling without any resistance. I have the owners manual and I went step by step and I just caint seem to get it to work. If anyone else has the same problem or knows how to fix it that would be great.

i know how to fix that prob...take the parking brake off, get a block off plate and start parking your bike in gear or across a hill...parking brakes on every bike are WORTHLESS and dead weight

the parking brake is real easy toi adjust at the back of the caliper there is a small threaded rod with a nut on it and an arm witch the parking brake cable goes to losen the nut and turn the threaded rod clock wish till it stops then back it of a half a turn then tighten the nut back down and wala the ebrake will work again i got to adjust mine evey coupel of rides. crapy pads from the factory! this adjustment also helps keep the rear brake peadel up high good luck.

Did you happen to buy both bikes from the same dealer? They might have not adjusted them correctly. I have a z and 3 other of my friends have z's and none of them had that problem at all. Its easy to adjust, just follow what ltz400man posted and your all set. Its a nice thing to have when you dont want it rolling down hill.

Who needs a parking brake on a sport quad? It is a very poor design. Clean your clutch perch up and get rid of that parking brake and also get the block off plate as well!
