Again what can i say, you guys are great with the feedback. I am going to check out that used 1995 kaw bayou 400 4wd tomarrow for $2500.00 with the plow which i dont need. but anyway i will let u guys know how it all worked out. If not i think it will be a new suzuki vinson 500 i rode 1 today and hit some hills and mole holes and bumps, no problem on the suspension. thanks again guys.

Polaris uses the same size frame on the 400's as the full size machines, with full size shocks, brakes, etc.
The Kawasaki Bayou will be a smaller machine, probably not big enough for your needs.
If you can swing the cost of a new Vinson, I'm sure you would be happy with its performance.

I have owned an Eiger and I think it would be a good machine for you. It has good power and excellent weight carrying capabilities. It is low geared so it isn't going to bog down or struggle if you ride 2 up, even at your size. I have a good friend that weighs 360 and a Trail Boss 325 carried him around just fine. The Eiger has much more power than the Boss. If you find yourself bottoming out you can always put heavier springs on. While the 500 and up machines are nice, it hasn't been that long ago that 400 WAS the big machine. The Eiger has excellent brakes as well as the good engine braking that comes with a manual shift machine. I have pulled a 2000 pound boat with mine, and it had no problem.

New Quads have warrantys, and great factory financing. Used quads have amazing resale value. A one to two year old quad in good condition can fetch a price within a grand of a brand new one, with no warranty or financing.
....Bang for the Buck, The Eiger is a great choice, and a good deal, you should consider nothing any smaller in size or displacement. Liquid cooling and IRS are both very good features, but you can live without them.
..... The Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. can handle a lot of weight, has excellent suspension and handling and scoots down the trail with the best of them. The Vinson is a superb choice, and definetly worth the extra dough over the Eiger. The Rincon is going to be sprung too soft for you, as is the Prarie.
......Bombardier has several quads made for big guys. The Quest is huge, as is the Traxter. I am just a little guy, 6', 210, and I love my Baja, everything else seems like a toy.....Oh yeah, that's right, we are talking about our toys aren't we?
