HELP LT500 NO SPARK
#2
This happened to me in a drag race once. After I stopped, took off my helmet, and waited a few seconds for all the Banshee's to catch up, I found that one of the wires that feeds the coil (above the pipe, behind the radiator) had gotten on my pipe and burned in two. Got a tow to the truck, fixed the wire, and went on!

Could be a multitude of things... So start checking connections, burnt wires, plug wire..
If nothing shows up... start looking at the bigger picture, pull the side cover off and check the condition of the fly wheel... I've had one come apart (Sheared the rivits right off the hub)... Not good!
Otherwise, you could have a cd module failure or an ignition coil failure... although those are not as common... still could happen on a machine that old.
Good luck... All else fails... get a good tester and a shop manual, and start troublshooting.
