Well, I like them! I can't give you a comparison to your scrambler because I have never ridden one, but the quadracers are nice quads if they were properly maintained. It willo have plenty of power and good suspension also. I personally prefer the later year models with the power valve engine and a few other chassis changes. I've owned an '86 model and two '92 models and have been satisfied with them.

Default lt250r???

There is a difference between the Quadsport and Quadracer 250s

1. Quadsport - The LT250S Quadsport was produced from 1989 to 1990
It is a 4-stroke
5 speed manual clutch with reverse
Has a T shaped seat almost big as the LT500Rs
Can't get aftermarket plastic for it, not even from Miaer!!
Rare.... probably almost as rare or even more rare than the Tecate-4!!
Mods that I've found for it: 1. Cobra or DG RCM Pipe
2. Big bore kit up to 273cc
3. Cam from Web cams
4. 34mm carb
5. Dual stage shocks with Rezzies from Works for the front

My opinion with it, excellent beginner quad

2. Quadracer - The LT250R was produced from 1985-1992
It is a 2-stroke
5-speed manual only in the 1985-86 years, 6-speed manual from 1987 to 1992
Non-powervalve engine in the 85-86 years, powervalve in the 87-92 years
Straight seat on the 85-86 years, small T-shaped seat from 87-92 years
Round housing bearing carrier on the 85 and 86's, box style carrier on the 87-92

There are plenty of places for mods for these wild beast.
Trinity, LRD, Duncan, CT Racing, and HSD Racing for chassis mods
