I agree GYTR

Wheelies on a Z are as easy as spinning the tires in a Z28

Wheelies are easy, it just takes a little practice. Get moving in second gear at about a 1/4 throttle, gas it and pull back on the bars. Its all about finding the balance point, if the front gets too high tap the rear brake a little. The cool thing about a quad is you can't really loop it out, the grab bar will stop you.

I hope this helps.

G'day guys.
It was a simple question. Wheelies may be easy for some, but don't mock the guy.Give him some constructive ideas, or go somewhere you're wanted.

JFiZzLe, find a long open straight, in 2nd rolling along pull clutch, pick up revs, let out clutch. If that doesn't work, try either more revs, sit further back on the seat, pull back on bars. Always keep your foot ready to tap the brake if your overcooking it, & lots of practice. Have fun.

Thanks from down under Geoff.

I won't mention any names here, but one of you guys who said that he shouldn't be on the z400 if he doesn't know how to do a wheelie also recommended the same quad as a first mchine to a buyer in another thread....so therefore you would expect someone who never rode a quad before to be able to wheelie!!!...stupid answers here guys...he asked for help...if ya can't help, don't answer.

Would like to know who you are refering to GC , but if you look at his forums he is only 14 , the z is a great all around quad for a beginner , but if your just starting out , thats another subject , I would'nt feel comfortable instructing someone to do things that can seriously hurt them , especially when there are under age .

There are warning labels , and most of us take them off or cover them with stickers , but there is one that says no one under 16.

Sorry JFiZzle , make sure you are under control and not your Z , once your under total control , then start tring the fun stuff

I stick with my originial post you shouldnt have to lean back or pull bars but dont be on tank or leaning forward. Start with second gear and hit throttle aggresively much easier than dealing with clutch and he shouldnt need it on that bike...
