I believe FTZRacing already does this for an engine package. Ask them they might help you. Good setup I guess. GO to there website ftzracing.com and it'll tell you I think.

yes FTZ does do the YZ piston setup, and as with all engine builders there own setup is the best and most powerful. I am hoping to get some feed back from somebody who is running this set up who might be able to give a before and after type response.

What JB said plus it gets rid of the thrust washers if I remember right. THere is a guy on here with this setup from FTZ. I am thinking his login is FTZlt250r. Do a seach for him. I also talked to him about it in one thread.

i guess the question is does it make more power, i will have to do a top end here soon and if i can get more power then i might make the switch.

the guy you are talking about, FTZlt250r, he has a pretty quad, all shiny and stuff, i saw it,
if you could win races with looks the rest of us wouldnt have a chance.

There's just nothing like a bunch of LT junkies!

I don't have a before and after answer for you..... It was FTZ modded when I got it. I need a new top end to have as a back up at the track. You are welcomed to bolt it on when I get it. We could run yours at Tim's, drink iced tea until it cools, bolt on my top end, and run it some more to see if we notice a difference.

Or................ You could finally buy that dyno that you have been dreaming of.

sounds like a plan, but do you know if the top ends are interchangable, do they do anything to the rod.

i would buy the chassis dyno that we been dreaming of but then we would know which parts work and dont work,
what fun would that be.

You can try my next bore size piston to see if it fits on a stock rod.....

LRD uses a spacer plate to change port timing. FTZ does not.
