Default What should I include in an emergency toolkit

New to ATVs, just picked up 2 Eigers last weekend. What a rush. Now I'm looking for recommendations on what to carry as emergency supplies. Extra spark plugs, tow straps ... I would appreciate the feedback from you experienced riders.

This is a great forum for newbies. I am picking up a lot of info that is extremely useful.

Thanks

Tire Plugs

I have not tried any of those co2 cartiges yet but I thought about buying one of the flat kits. If you put any storage boxes on your quad a little air compressor works great if you have a 12 volt adapter that you can plug into.

Definately include a flashlight if you ride at night. First aid kit is a good idea for when things get upside down....and eventually this will happen. Always wear a helmet and stay within your abilities. Air your tires up too 5.5-6 pounds of air for less flats (harsher ride though). I recommend insurance as well....those toys are expensive too repair. Welcome bro!

1. Flashlight/Matches, cause you might not make it back before dark.
2. Tire plugs/CO2 inflator.
3. Small first aid kit.
4. Leatherman type tool.
5. Water.
6. ATV tow strap.
7. Factory took kit + any other small tools you find are needed.
8. If you have a 2 stroke, a very small bottle, 4 oz, of oil, even chain saw oil will work in a pinch.
9. Again, if you have a 2 stroke, a Spark plug.
10. Tie straps and Duct tape.

Everything here is small enough to fit in the Ozarks little compartment. or in a small butt pack as I do with my KFZ400. Money helps also, I have given some cash for gas on occasion, And be sure you have something to I D yourself, Heaven forbid you get hurt all by yourself, but I don't carry a wallet, so be sure you have something with Name/address on it, Like registration! Helps if rescue people know who you are or who to contact in an emergency.

P.S.- I brought a 2003 Honda 350 4x4 Rancher Es. I love it. My new Hobbie.
