GREAT...NOW DUNES...ARMAGOSA
#11
Armagosa is a great place! The "comp" hill is pretty big and pretty steep. The bowl in the middle of the dunes is really fun and if you have time, go around to the backside of the dunes where they have a bunch of small dunes that are fun to jump and mess around with. (since you are coming from Vegas I assume, the back side is on the opposite side of where everyone parks). Have fun and take some pics for us!

Going Sat or Sun? If Sun., how about Apex Sat. morning? Here is some Steve advice for Armagosa:
Never cross over a dune without checking out the other side first. At Armagosa almost all the tall dunes are razor backs. Be careful. On the big ones, always downshift BEFORE you need too. Finding yourself stalled at the top of "Comp" or any other tall dune is a bad feeling. On the back side fo the dunes are a bunch of smaller dunes. Couple weeks ago you could find a bunch of good jumps there. Or play a mean game of follow the leader. Have fun!!

It just so happens that Sat. at Apex is gonna be a family day. There is gonna be some grillin' and some riding going on. I'm bringing the wife and kids, one of the other guys is bringing his family too, and there will be some guys with no familys there too. The invite is open. Your just gonna have to provide your own foodstuffs, I'll provide the grill and chef services. If not, ride safe and have a good time at Armagosa!!

The tires will actually "float" better if they have less pressure in them.
We run our fronts anywhere from 3-5 PSI. Same with the rear tires.

I will have to disagree with that one. The tires will actually "float" better if they have less pressure in them. We run our fronts anywhere from 3-5 PSI. Same with the rear tires.

Isn't that near the max running pressure?
