oyavey. a free, running quadracer. you don't know how lucky you are, man. I think just to thank the Suzuki gods, you should drop a few grand into it and make it scream. come on! you owe us suzuki guys! turn that thing into a honda stomper, raptor harasser missle.
but seriously, don't get an FMF exhaust. they have a horrible reputation with their quadracer pipes. I say go with one of the high-end pipes. I hear good things about the adjustable pipe.
about the exhaust stud... i don't know much about those, I would take it to my engine builder and use it as an excuse to get a full port and polish. it'll compliment the pipe really well.
oh, and if someone wants to get the specs for a quad or trike go to www.offroadhaven.com, that's where LT250R superstar copied his info from. either that or kiwi craig's site. Whoever asked for the LT230 specs, they don't have them. try google.
that blue spray paint wasn't at all as bad as I thought it would be... jeeze, looks ten times better than my '86 when I first got it. and yours actually has an engine in it. lol.
and that black powder coat.. NICE! you're on the right track already fosure. keep up the great work.

Thanks 86
I do realize how lucky I am. I dreamed of this bike when I was a kid.
thanks for the advice.....
for now,,,I am just preserving the old(not much money added)
it is paint, not powder,,,,,but supposedly some really good paint
Im just trying to figure out how I can make the rest of the parts look like the frame
The swingarm will be bead blasted and coated (a polished permanent look)(stock)
The bike is all stock and it is going back together all stock (for now)
Thanks alot for the spec info

Going stainless is a good idea for all the bolts. Makes it easier to remove stuff next time. If you have any questions on anything about the Q-Racers just let ne know. I already have a bunch of people locally come to me for help on these so I might as well have people online asking me about them too.

OH I don't know if you know this or not, but if you need trick parts for the LT, your best bet is HSD Racing - he has long travel suspensions for front and rear and even does modification for narrow frame LT250Rs - uses Honda 250R style frontend... They even built an independent rear suspension for these quads... Here is the article. ATV Connection article from 8/3/2000 you can go to his website HERE I did like my LT250R when I had it - doggone thieves make me mad!!!
Tell the guys at HSD that I sent you!!!

I got one of those kits when I was rebuilding mine. They look good and cap screws are much better than the stock phillips head screws. Mine was short a few bolts so make sure you check yours.
