Hi Everyone:

I am thinking of getting a vinson 5 speed but was curious on cold weather starting. Does anyone who has one use it when it is -30 or -40 outside? Any problems that I should be aware of?

I just bought a 03 vinson 5 speed, i live at lake Tahoe and right now theres lots of snow with 20-30 degree average temps. so far i have not had any problems starting mine. i`m new at riding quads but so far this one seems grrrreat, i would highly recommend one. it`s time to go snowmobiling now see ya later... I have an 02 Vinson auto, it is an absolutely awesome machine. I live in Minnesota and we've had an extremely cold winter, I keep my vinson in the garage but a couple of the times when the temp was well below zero it did take a bit to start. But she always has started she's just a little cold blooded.

Buy It!!! You won't regret it. I've started mine at 20 below and never had a problem just set the choke and let her warm up before taking her out!
