What was Suzuki thinkin?
You know my brother has a LT500R and I was thinkin and I just don't get it. WHY didn't Suzuki make a chassis similiar to but in a smaller version of the 500s for the smaller 250 back in 87'? I am willing to bet if they would have, the Honda 250R wouldn't be what it is today. I think the handling on the Zilla is great its just that its big, which makes it the ideal duner. What do you guys think? You think I could be right or not?

I dunno about all of that.. Mine pushes really hard in the turns - in fact with me on it , it doesn't even like to turn... I have heard other people say the same thing about riding an LT500 and weighing less than 180 pounds. I guess it just has to do with the extra power...
It is a good thing Suzuki didn't make the LT250R a 300.. They would not be allowed to race in the 250 class if they did that...
As far as the 600cc thing, you do know there is a bigger 2-stroke out now.. ATK just released a 700cc 2-stroke bike!!! That is INSANE!!!

Isnt like the EPA or some other group trying to phase out the production of 2 strokes??? I could be way off here, but I could have swore I heard of some organization or something trying to get the 2 strokes phased out.

Hey Dirtgirl I think the front end push is combination of 2 things the quad itself being kinda on the long side and a lot of power. So heres what Suzuki could have done, make a shorter and lighter version of the 500s chassis. Just sayin
I weigh about 215 I haven't noticed the push, but you're probably right.
