Just checking, I Was putting my clutch together on my 88 lt250r and noticed that the fingers
on the basket were wavy and the clutch plates were getting caught on the front of the basket. Havent had the motor running in about a year, but i when it was running i dont remember it slipping at all,
i appreciate any input , thanks alot

If the grooves aren't too deep don't worry about it, it'll be OK. If the grooves are getting bad you can also flie down the fingers on the basket slightly to even it out. it sounds to me like you may need to file the grooves down a bit if the plates are getting hung up. Also, you can get a replacement basket if it is worn out. Sometimes it is better to be safe than sorry!

We just replaced my clutch basket. Janssen Racing sells a billet clutch basket made by Performance Engineering. It is made the exact same way as the Hinson, for about $60 less than the Hinson. It is the same type of billet with the same hard anodized coating. Fron now on, I will buy no other basket....
