Default Z400 or banshee

The banshee is a very fast machine, stock the banshee will beat the Z but the Z has better handleing, i hear the Z has the best handling out of aby sport quad right now. After you put some mods on your z the power will be there. Put a pipe and things like that without even touching the engine and you will get plenty of power out of this 4 stroke beast. i would go wit the LTZ also cuz this machine can do everything include go fast, i rides very good an trails and stuff to so i hear.
it all depends wat you want. it seems u like trail riding since you havent owned a sport bike you sed so i wld go wit the Z

The Banshee was a great machine in 1987. The Z-400 (KFX400) is a great machine in 2003.

What makes the Z400 such a great machine for 2003? Heavy, underpowered, a fancier 400ex? WOW.. Great Machine. I bet my old school banshee will run circles around your little Wifey machine, Care to find out??? Didnt think so. If you want to race stock for stock, we can do that too. I know it takes awhile to get used to the awesome power of the Z400, so youhavent moded it yet.. Understandable...

Kids.

But to answer is NO, the Z400 will never have the power of the Banshee.

A lot of the top racers will be riding z's this year. When's the last time you seen a top racer on a Banshee other than in some goofy race like Pikes Peak where you are on a road? Even before the Z, no credible racers rode Banshees. When is the last time a Banshee won a magazine shootout? Banshees are great drag racers and duners. But in the woods and on the track (which is what we do in Ohio) they are inadequate. The powerband is too tight. I went back woods riding with a modified banshee. He couldn't compare to my stock KFX. Actually in the woods the banshee wasn't as good as my Kodiak 4x4. He'd tear me up on a long drag strip though.

And by the way roost, if you want to drive 1500 miles to race me then come on up. I'll lap you over and over again with your two-stroke version of the Warrior. I'll even go slow around corners to compensate for your 1987 suspension.

No thanks, I like the sun and surf. Yamaha has quit featuring the Banshee, so no real advertisement, so no mag shoot out wins. the Suzuki jut happens to be the flavor of the month.

And Im not bashing the kawaSuki, my frined has one and i like it, but its not like the Z400 is all high tech, like someone referred to earlier.
It will still never give you a rush like a banshee. If youve ridden one, you know what I mean, if you havent, then you dont..
