Default home rebuild?

do anyone of yous think that it would be kinda easy to rebuild my lt250 at home with my father.we have the repair manual and we were wondering if i could run a hone through the cylinder and slap a new piston in the same size as the one i blew the gasket and overheated with. if anyone of yous have any suggestions or comments it would help

Default home rebuild?

bring it to your local shop and have it measured. if its out of round you will blow another one.
if it has deep scratches you wont be able to hone it either.
