Eigerman, Sounds like you've already made up your mind, but I did find the Vinson's achille heel tonight...ground clearance. Hung mine up twice in mudholes. Nothing undoable, but a couple inches more would've really helped. I was running with a 450 kodiak and he also hung up once. I was not considering a polaris before, but was looking at the Bomb outlander (little more g.c.) and maybe I should've looked at the Arctic Cat a little harder (lots more g.c.) Anyway, something to keep in mind. Other than that, I like it a lot. I didn't think I'd be riding in mud that much, but I just moved here and it turns out this area is lower than I anticipated. 'Course the strong point of the straight axle is kicking the rear out with the flick of the happy flipper on corners. No, it doesn't serve any function, but it sure feels good
Oh, BTW, brochures state vinson ground clearance at 9.3 or 9.9" (I forget which). Owners manual says right in it 7 1/2" (or thereabouts) Isn't that interesting?

You picked the right quad GT2. If you would have gotten the Arctic Cat I think you would have been dissapointed by its speed. It tops out at like 48. I know thats not what the Arctic Cat is made for but 48 is kind of slow for a 500cc quad IMO. If you work the Arctic Cat would be an excellent quad though.

I have raced a 500 ho with my Vinson auto on the road. To tell the truth I pulled away off the line an kept pulling away, though slowly, from the polaris. This was done over and over. My friend was so mad that he traded his 500 ho for a 700 sportsman.
