Default Eiger or Vinson?

Looking to purchase my first atv. Have decided between the Eiger 400 4x4 auto or the Vinson 500 4X4 auto. Will be using it for hunting (pine plantations, clearcuts & mud), pulling utility trailers & equipment, and trailriding. My wife will be riding with me a lot of the time, but we are both pretty slender people. The price difference really doesn't bother me. Just want the most bang for the buck. If the 400 is big enough, is their an advantage to going with the smaller one. I just want something big enough but not too big and I want it to last for a long time. Also, should I be considering the manual shift transmission for these two? Any suggestions would be great.

Default Eiger or Vinson?

I was stuck between the eiger and the vinson myself. I went with the vinson. I really like the machine. It has a ton of power. I read alot of review on both of them. They are both very good machine . The eiger won the 400cc glass shoot out and the vinson was the best in the 500cc glass. If you buy the vinson you will like. I think the extra money for the vinson is worth it.

Well the best bang for the buck goes to the Eiger. I went with the Eiger and its a awesome machine, power, rides good, and tell you the truth with stock tires it will go through some mud easy! After I put the Vamps on shes almost unstoppable. I was going with the Vinson first but for the money there wasnt much to think about, I can live without the Digital Reading lol!

The Vinson has $600 customer cash incentive this month. That gets you down to the price of the 400, so price should not be a factor in your decision. My wife and I ride double some and the Vinson works well. Together we weigh about 350. I really enjoy the auto tranny, but some prefer the manual shift. The only time I would prefer manual shift on the Vinson is when I want to raise the front wheels over an obstacle. The auto eases into the power where the manual will have instant torque to the tires. The engine braking on the Vinson is outstanding!

I love my eiger, its all the machine I need, I like it more and more everytime I ride, I even tipped it over and just rolled it back on all fours and it started right up and took off like nothing (its mine forever now), BUT if I had a choice, I would pick the Vinson.
