My friend has a 2000 ltf500 and every time he rides the fenders pull apart where the two pieces meet. Other then this he loves his 500.

I have a 1998 Quadrunner 500 and I have been re-connecting my fenders all the time! Its the only thing about the quad I dont like! What I did, and it helps somewhat is replaced the factory fender connecting fastners with some differant ones I picked up at hardware store which allow me to get them tighter. But the fenders still come seperated when running through the woods and making new trails.

Dennis Kirk has some fender extensions for the Lt-F500, that are one piece, and cost a mere $45.00 for the back, and $45.00 for the front set.
Its hard to tell from the picture, but it appears to be a complete replacement for the factory fenders.

Dennis Kirk is an ATV\Motorcycle Parts supplier
who advertises regularly in Dirt Wheels.
They have an on-line catalog, or you can order the catalog from their web site at no charge.
All parts are very reasonably priced.
