How does a 400ex compare to a lt250?

handling?
low end speed?
mid?
top?

Is it as fun to ride and can you get faster lap times?

Compare an Apple to an Anvil.... one is bright shiney red, tastes good and looks nice, the other has a completely different intended purpose and hurts like He!! when you drop it on your foot!

 

hey lt250rider or brother you don't have a 400ex or you never ridden one. So you don't know that for sure. We will find out for our selves in four or five weeks.

I will most likely end up with a modded 400ex anyway.

lt250 vs 440ex

 

A 400 EX is smooth and comfy and handles well. I've ridden a couple and like them. Great trail bike. But in the sand, my LT250 runs away from them.

Handling, the 400EX kills it, without any question.
low end? Its a 400 4 stroke, of course it has tons more low end torque that a 250 2 stroke.

Mid, maybe the same,

Top, the 2 stroke might win in the end.

You might want to try the Predator 500. I think you could toast an lt250 with it!
It is bigger and set up more for MX, but I am not sure about the handling.
LT's don't hold up to well to the demands of a real MX track.

 

yes i have put many hours on 400ex's and the handling is superior to the LT but i have ridden modded 400's but i never been beat by one. nobody around here likes them b/c they are too slow ,everybody around here has big-bore four-strokes or banshee's. i currently have the fastest 250 around, and i smoke all 400's i come along , even 1 z-400.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
