Default NEEDING 350 WARRIOR EXPERT

MY 10 YR OLD SON HAS A YAMAHA WARRIOR 350 // SEEMS MOST TIMES OUT OF TEN WE HAVE TO JUMP START THE BIKE TO GET IT TO FIRE. FOLLOWING THE JUMP IT CAN BE RIDEN, TURNED OFF AND ON FOR SOME TIME. AFTER SETTING HRS OR THROUGH THE NIGHT IT WILL AGAIN REQUIRE A JUMP. OF COURSE A NEW BATT HAS BEEN PUT ON IT. SOME TELL ME THE RECTIFIRE IS WHAT CHARGES THE BATT OTHERS TELL ME IT THE STATOR. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE ADVICE ME. I DO APPRECIATE YOUR TIME. (ROB IN PB, MO.)

Sounds like you have a power drain some where in the system. Try driving the unit around and verify that it starts when you are done riding and then disconnect the battery. When you are ready to ride again, rehook up the battery and see what happens. If it starts right up then you have a drain in the system. Could be a bad diode in the RECTIFIRER. The diodes in the rectifirer convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). If a diode goes out it will allow current to flow back to ground when the motor is shut off. Hope this helps.
