Thats a Popo for ya.... Yamaha has a REAL 4x4 Setup... not electric "on-demand" junk... though when it is working it works pretty good.. but more stuff to break

He got help in the Polaris forum and already fixed it awhile back. The wire leading to one hub was broken and repaired before he bought it. The 14-year old spliced wire got corroded and needed to be re-spliced. That's a lot easier than trying to get 4-wheel drive out of another brand of ATV that's still only 3-wheel drive, limited-slip, when it's not broken.
I guess Steve is just too crazy to know Yamaha has a much more complicated, electrically controlled "junk" system too, with even more stuff to break. That's what the buttons and lever are for. They didn't copy the whole system because that would be admitting it works great, but they copied the name. Does ANYONE honestly believe that Yamaha didn't get the idea for On Command 4x4 from Polaris' On Demand 4x4?
Yamaha just made it way more complicated to engage and lock the 4x4. Instead of flipping a switch AT ANY SPEED, and leaving it there forever if you want to, you have to stop, press a button, flip a lever, press another button, and GO SLOW. If you want to GO FAST again, you have to stop again, press a button again, flip a lever again, and press the other button again. On Polaris you just go whatever speed you want. Flip one switch anytime at any speed to go from On Demand 4x4 to 4x2, and back.
