Default Winch Troubleshooting ?

Start by removing wires from winch and contactor. Clean them good, apply dialectic grease, and reattach. Post back if still not working

Solenoid was locked up. Kept working the switch in and out till it freed up. Some terminals were a little corroded so I cleaned them and added grease. Then sprayed them with liquid electrical tape. That should seal them.

Default Winch Troubleshooting ?

If you ride in a bunch of mud/water and your winch is under water/mud because of where it is mounted you may also need to take the motor a part clean it, and grease its gears if you can. My 2500# Warn winch locks up when junk builds up on the gears inside the motor housing. It is supposed to be sealed.
