hey there folks, i've got a problem n i was wonderin if you could help... i was muddin one day n lost my warning lights (neutral etc) and also lost my headlights n starter... but the thing still runs if i kick start it... i think its the cdi, i checked the main fuse n its fine, n battery has 13v n when the quad's runnin i've got around 14.5v. i pulled the cdi off, checked how clean the terminals were, put it back in n still had the problem.... any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

 

sounds like you have lost a ground somewhere. go over the wiring meticulously and check for any loose connections. also take apart all of the connectors and spray some dielectic grease in them. water cant get in them that way.

it cant be the CDI because the motor still runs. cdi = capacitor discharge ignition. does not control lights or anything like that.
