ok so I have the most dependable atv(97 big bear 350) around. has always started first crank after winter. but not this year! has spark, fuel getting to the carb. but it wont even fire. the fuel does smell kinda funky?
have never cleaned the carb before, where do I start. any suggestions on where to start? please, I so want to go riding!

 

pull the carb off and thoroughly clean it with carb cleaner or non-chlorinated brake cleaner. drain all the old gas and replace it with fresh gas. Make sure you clean the film from the old gas out of the bowl of your carb as well as making sure you main n pilot jets are free and clear of any dirt and grime as well.
